First Impressions

I’ve heard some horror stories about some first time, face to face meetings with people that have expressed an interest in swinging with another couple.  It’s made me think about what those first dates should be like and how blinkspunk and I approach that first meeting.

First, if you’ve read our previous posts, you’ll know that we are always prepared to play on the first date. Even if we have to repeat the mantra – “no expectations, no expectation, no expectations” – we still come prepared. We shower, shave in all the right places, brush our teeth and make sure that we smell good! It’s all about first impressions.

Even if your first meeting doesn’t result in playing with the couple you should always seek to leave a good first impression. What if you meet up with that same couple somewhere else later? A house party? Your favorite swinger’s club? You don’t want your second meeting to be just as awkward as the first. Besides the awkwardness, you have to remember that word travels fast and the swinging world is a smaller place than you imagine it to be. You would hate for that bad first impression to spread to another couple that you really had your heart set on impressing.

Stories? Anyone step out to meet another couple only to find out that they didn’t bother to change after washing the dishes and cleaning the house?

This may be a stupid question, but if you “play on the first date”, when are tests exchanged? Is it something previously seen (via email attachments) prior to the date? You don’t just take people’s “word for it”, do you? People lie.

It’s not a stupid question at all. We’ve researched it (we are researchers and analysts in our day jobs) and we will respond in a couple of days with a new post. We have it in draft status and we just need to get some sources correct. Please stay tuned!

Researched it? Sources? I was actually just interested in your experience with tests.
